Hedges and small trees can quickly crowd paths, windows, buildings, and neighbouring plants. We provide seasonal hedge trimming, shrub reduction, fruit-tree pruning, and corrective pruning that respects plant health while bringing the garden back into scale.

Pruning is not simply cutting everything back. Timing, growth habit, plant health, privacy, access, and the intended shape all matter. We work carefully to reduce crowding and improve structure without treating every plant the same.

Keep privacy without losing the garden

A hedge can provide privacy and still leave room for paths, windows and neighbouring plants. We discuss the height, width and shape you want, then look at the plant and its current growth. The aim is to bring it into scale while considering its health and how it will be maintained.

Agree on the result before cutting

Let us know which views you want to screen and where clearance matters. Photos of both sides of a hedge help us understand the access and cleanup involved. We also prune shrubs, fruit trees and small trees. Tell us about larger trees at the enquiry stage so we can discuss whether the work fits our service.

Before we visit

Can an overgrown hedge be reduced in one visit?

That depends on the plant, its condition and how much reduction is needed. We assess it before agreeing on the approach; a large reduction is not suitable for every hedge.

What should I send for a trimming estimate?

Include the approximate length and height, photos, the result you want and details of steps, narrow access or neighbouring boundaries.
