Living landscapes planned beyond day one
Softscape is the living side of a landscape: plants, soil, lawns, and the conditions that help them thrive. Our team plans and installs garden improvements with attention to light, drainage, spacing, mature plant size, and long-term maintenance—not just how the planting looks on day one.
A successful softscape installation should settle into the property, grow into its space, and remain practical to care for. We consider exposure, access, soil, water, spacing, colour, texture, and the relationship between new and established plants.
Start with the space you have
A planting project might be a new privacy hedge, a tired bed that needs attention or a garden around a new outdoor feature. We look at what is already growing, how the space is used and what you want to change. The plan takes light, soil, water and mature plant size into account before materials are ordered.
Plan the work from delivery to planting
Access is part of the job. Steps, slopes, narrow routes and island deliveries affect how plants and materials reach the garden. We discuss those details when planning the work, along with soil preparation, planting and the care needed afterwards. Before we visit
Do we need to replace the whole garden?
No. We can work with established plants and improve a particular bed or part of the property. Keeping healthy planting often gives a renewed garden a useful starting point.
Can you work around a sauna or an existing wall?
Yes. We can discuss the surrounding planting, preparation and access. Our project stories show examples of the work we have completed; your scope will depend on the site.
